Making Cotton Candy at Home

Believe it or not, making cotton candy myself has always been on my "bucket list."

CHECK!

We bought a $40 machine at Bed Bath and Beyond, insert some sugar and --- cotton candy! Then we inserted some Werther's Original butterscotch candy and --- Butterscotch Cotton Candy that was absolutely decadent!

I just wanted to share. This was so much fun (for me) for such short money. It wasn't fireworks or anything, but it certainly did satisfy my lifelong need to do this.

Tonight we're gonna bring it to a party :D I hope the host doesn't mind. LOL

I asked for a cotton candy machine every year for Christmas. I'm still waiting :(
What a great idea! It sounds like fun.
Very interesting!!

Sounds like fun, not expensive...why not?

Is it very messy on the smaller machine? I've made cotton candy on a big machine and its definitely an outdoor activity! And sticky as heck!
I had a machine as a child, think I ODed on cotton candy as the thought turns my stomach now. But butterscotch sure sounds interesting!! Enjoy.

My sister received one from Santa when we were children. It was so cool! But a mess for little kids. My Mom must be in a special place in heaven for that gift..... :hearts: :hearts:
We decided not to take it to the party because of all of the hubbub.

There wasn't much of a mess at all, at least not that we noticed. We made it on the kitchen counter and we didn't make a lot. :D But I could see how it could get out of hand pretty quickly.

Made me smile every time I thought about it. :D
I love the smell of cotton candy. Not so much the taste, but the smell is so deep and sweet. Glad you enjoyed your new toy!
Cool new toy, sounds like great fun.
Could you crush candy canes and spin those for peppermint fluff?
That sounds like a lot of fun! I love cotton candy! :D

Haven't tried it yet though. :-)
Oh the possibilities! I may have to have one myself!
