What a sweet face |
I found an old photo of her today while looking for some documents! I haven't seen this in years! It was taken pre-digital days in March 2000. Sammy Girl was Blair's birthday present. He had wanted a Sheepie since he was three years old and we told him he had to be old enough to be able to handle a grown Sheepie. We finally got Sammy for his 8th birthday in May. Sammy was born Dec 19 1999 to Ch US/CN Raffles Just Ewe Wait (Higgins) who is the grandad of some of the pups on this forum. Amber of Blueshire has Higgins in her breeding line as does Lambluv pups. What a great surprise to see this photo. Brings back so many wonderful memories. Sammy was an amazing soul. I'd like to think it was her way of saying hello today, don't you think so? |
Thank you David. Your girls remind me of Sammy a lot. I believe they are related as Virginia is granddaughter of Higgins which makes my Sammy her great aunt and Mady and Gracie's great great aunt! Although I don't post much anymore, I still come on regularly to look at the photos and catch up on the antics. Your girls are one of my favorites. Thank you for sharing them with us. It really warms my heart and I'm looking forward to the day when I can share my life with a Sheepie and a Westie again. |
Oh Sammy did remind me a lot of Virginia in that first picture! I do hope you let another sheepie and a westie in your life! |
I see a lot of Sammy in our girls' faces. It is touching to think that we can see generations past in our girls. I will give them extra hugs tonight in memory of Sammy. |
