| I teach kindergarten to grade 4 (the age of the kids that were killed) and today I watched my students prepare for their Christmas concert, dressed up as Angels, singing songs and giggling. This is how school SHOULD be; this is likely the type of day that the victims were having, totally unsuspecting. They played together and giggled I had such a hard time believing that anybody would want to harm such innocent people. I told my students how lucky I am to have them today. Puts things in perspective, all the things that seemed like such a big deal yesterday didn't seem that way today. |

| I cannot imagine the horror...my heart goes out to all of them. Now for the anger. Everyone screams gun control. That is not going to stop these wackos. They are now coming out of the woodwork. You have to ask "Why". There have been many this year alone. Some too close to home. So you have to ask "Why". You can't ask them as most of them kill themselves after..."Why" My theory: Lets sensationalize this and make their names and pictures known worldwide. Lets make them famous...again worldwide. The news that was on for HOURS(and showing NOTHING) today went all the way back to Columbine. This will surly make the wackos sit up and take notice, thinking they could do this too...and be famous. Who doesn't want to be famous? Again my heart goes out to them but we have to stop the sensationalizing. This is what is happening when the media takes it and keeps going and going and going. The name of the person should be a blackout...the face of the person should be a blackout. The victims are what counts not the person who killed them or their loved one. |
| There is no reason why. The guy in the Aurora, CO shooting is still alive. The guy who shot Gabby Giffords is still alive. Ask them. I can guarantee you they will not be able to give a reason. And why is that? Because they are mentally ill/unstable. They have no clue what they're doing or why they're doing it. I don't know how you solve the problem of certifiable crazy people being able to get their hands on weapons or creating weapons out of ordinary objects and then using them to do harm. |
| I agree with you Pam. Desensitize. No "glory" for the gunman. And a special prayer for the little children who must grow up with this tragedy and the media. My heart was sickened by the children recanting their stories yesterday. My ninety year old Italian FIL said it best "the wold hez gonna crazzy". |

| Can we not turn this into gun politics or comparisons to other massacres please? I'm not taking any sides on this let's just grieve a few days first. Thanks. |
| Last night 3 of my kids slept in my bed. They thought it was some special treat ...I thought the same. (mr. j was out of town so there was room if you were wondering) |
