Kim said Gracie had the guiltiest look on her face, though trying to act very nonchalant. I yelled down that "somebody pooped in the office!", Kim came upstairs, with a very sullen Gracie, she was afraid to see me. I gave her big hugs and told her it was alright and daddy still loved her. In hindsight, I can see exactly what was going through her adorable head: following me up the stairs - "please don't notice, please don't notice, please don't notice!" after I spot the poop - "oh no oh no oh no oh no oh no!" after she fled downstairs - "(whistling nonchalantly) no nothing's happening upstairs mommy!" after she was forced upstairs again - "oh no! The world is over! Daddy will be so mad!" Sweet little baby, her expressions are so adorable, and this was her first ever no. 2 accident, she had an upset stomach, it's not her fault. I love her beyond measure. |

Oh bless her. Hope her tummy is all better now? |
Ah poor Gracie, I hope her stomach feels better. Monty vomited yesterday indoors, no warning like with Buster who makes massive heaving noises, it was just a large splat. He also looked really guilty like we were going to tell him off and quickly wandered off. It's funny how they know it was not the right thing to do, even though we have never reprimanded them for an accident and never would being an accident. |

OR Gracie following Dad upstairs "I'd better tell Dad about the poop on the study floor" Gracie staring intently at poop "Look out Dad there's a poop! Don't step in it, it's yukky!' Gracie "Thank goodness, he's finally noticed. Uprights can be a bit slow. How the hell they didn't smell it as soon as they walked in the front door is beyond me. Oh well, gotta make allowances for the olfactory disability they suffer. Gracie as David starts cleaning it up "Sorry Dad I didn't mean to make a mess. And now that I've managed to get it sorted I'm outta here." Gracie going downstairs looking nonchalant "No worries Mom, I've got the situation under control. You don't need to worry" Gracie following Kim upstairs "Awww Mom, I sorted it. You don't have to check up on everything I do!" |
Poor Gracie, hope she is feeling better today |
Gracie! ...and they say dogs don't have 'reasoning' skills! |

Poor Gracie. Last night I walked into the bedroom, "Who pooped?" I knew exactly who but at 14 she's bound to have accidents. DH upset, "I walked her all around outside and she did nothing." OK, she laid down and out it came. Off to the shower for a butt bath while DH cleaned the carpet. I picked up some Pull Ups today, poor dear may have to start wearing diapers. |
Awwww, poor Gracie. I hope she is feeling better. Sometimes poop just happens when your not feeling well! Cindy |
I think that her 'not feeling well' was a result of David and I getting our wires crossed regarding treats. Kind of like a kind on Hallowe'en... |
