I knew at that second, he was going to take me out by running into the side of my knees if I didn't get out of the way. It happened so fast, but I made the decision to dive over him and save my knees. Kind of like diving into the end zone for a touchdown.....lol I flew thru the air, landing on my right side and rolling. I guess I've retained some of my skills as a kid except now I don't bounce much, it's more of a thud I think....lol I didn't hurt much after my fall, but as class went on, I could feel it in my muscle on my right side at the top of my leg just under my butt and on my side of my hip. I know it's going to be a big bruise on my hip. By the way, we did the run again and did great! I'm sure I'm going to be sore when I get up tomorrow. Cindy |

So sorry you are sore--could have been worse on the knees! Take care and hope you are not too sore tomorrow! Oh the hazards of Sports!! |
Sorry about the spill. Good save on the knees. Take care of yourself & start to trust your dog. |
Oh OUCH!!! Good save on Teddy too. Hope you aren't too sore today. |
It happens! Mady has her own take on the "takedown". |
Oh Cindy, nice save on the knees and I'm sure it was a beautiful graceful dive. Hope your feeling alright today. |
Great save of those knees! We had our crash (Chewie and I) on the exit of a tunnel. It was also at a trial, so a full audience. I swear I saw it coming in slow motion, but was powerless to avoid it...lol It was 3 yrs ago, and I still remember it, and am very alert now to prevent it from happening again! |
Good save! Bruise vs. torn ACL.....no question. |
Glad you are ok with only sore and bruise. Could have been much worse. Take care. |
Ouch! I will make a mental note to stay foward when Monty starts doing chutes. We have sand floor at our training place, makes for a more comfy fall |
