DH thinks that it is wrong and possibly life threatening to scare people this way. This is coming from someone who jumps to the ceiling when I sneak up on him in broad daylight I'm not insensitive, just playfully manipulating my own fun. So what do you think about this prank, and what is the fine line between funny and seriously cruel? http://www.wptv.com/dpp/news/national/e ... prank-ever |

i saw this the other day....im surprised no one kicked or punched her.....i think i would have...lol |
I was crying with laughter, but I don't think it would be funny if it happened to me. It could give someone a heart attack or panic attack. |
OMG, that would give me a heart attack. |
I saw this on my friend's Facebook, funny but if it happened to me I would freak out! |
Considering the age of most of the people in the video, I would have been concerned about a heart attack. It was really really well done though. Unlike most typical gag spoofs which have a guy in a gorilla suit jump out at people, this one is convincing. Everyone understands what an elevator is, they would not be able to explain the sudden appearance of the girl, and the makeup etc. on her was extremely creepy. Considering I can give Kim the shakes for a week with a rubber spider, I don't think this kind of joke would go over well with her. |
Wow, what a great prank... but maybe TOO scary! My heart would have exploded. |
Reminds me of the Just For Laughs. Set in Montreal sometimes I think wow how does someone not just haul off and hit people sometimes. Perhaps editing Or heart attacks I would have one! |
In this one, I wonder about the psyche, current and future, of the child pulling(acting) this stunt without regard for the victim's fear... |
Everything is funny as long as it happens to somebody else. Yes, I thought it was funny but I would have hurt somebody if I was on the receiving end. That is if I hadn't had a heart attack. Eventually, I would have laughed and probably wet my pants |
Brenda!! I never would have thought this! OK, it did make me laugh, but it's a bit too much over the edge for me. Maybe the fact that I'm a nurse makes me think of all the medical consequences possible? |
I would have wet my pants. I almost did while watching it, knowing it was a prank. |
I probably would have punched the kid. I've seen that on those prank shows when some people are scared, they just kind of instictively smack what is scaring them. |
