Welcome - this is a great site for all OES lovers. I too rescued OES dogs. Our first was OES x Wolfhound and she was called Molly Mop. Then we had a pure breed but she had been badly treated and so was very disabled. Then after that we had the most wonderful boy Murphy. Sadly he passed away very suddenly from Heart cancer in July - but we now have a pure breed Kennel club reg puppy from a proper breeder for the very first time. We have never had a puppy before just rescue dogs. So your not alone in your experience of OES rescue. They can be such a handful but in the end very rewarding when they come round with lots of love and hard work. What was your OES x with???? I am not a fan of x breeds as I think it damages bloodlines and our poor sweet Molly was nearly put to sleep because she was so big as she had the body of a wolfhound and all the coat of an OES so you can imagine no one wanted her because she was too much hard work. We had her 12 yrs!!!! OES |
Welcome! You are among like minded people. I've had OES for .......43 years. My current ones: MO age 14, Harry an OES x coonhound....approx 11. Both rescues. |
