Off his food.. :(
Hope you can help, Dudley has been off his food for the past week. He is just over 5 months. Last Saturday he vomited twice, and had an upset tummy, and didnt touch his food all day, and to make things worse he really wasnt himself AT ALL. i called the vets and they advised plenty of water and to keep an eye on him, which i did. Since then he has returned to his normal self personality wise, but his food habits have been all over the place. He is a pup that cannot wait for his food - hes on 3 meals a day (Royal Canin) and he's skipped one or two meals each day since last weekend - and today hes missed all 3 meals. Hes currently teething, and loosing some large teeth, is this related? Hes drinking water normally, and his stools and wee's are just fine. I am concerned about his eating habits though. One morning i gave him scrambled egg JUST to make sure he'd eat something and he did eat that. Any tips or advice? I'd be suprised if its the brand of food he's gone off, because its the best stuff you can buy, and we very very rarely give him 'human' food. The scrambled eggs were a one off to make him a little better. A worried mum xx |

| The food may be just too hard for his very sensitive mouth right now. They do their chewing back here. He's not going to starve, but you might be a kind mommy and moisten his food with some yummy broth. Continue with eggs and he'll figure out be fussy and you get a treat. I know, I know......I'd be dishing up cottage cheese, eggs, soft fish as well.......it's just being a mommy. |
