I guess she REALLY loves me!

Ava at 8 months old, has to be the funniest big hairy monster I've ever owned. She is REALLY into me for some reason lately.

Yesterday, we started our annual Halloween decorations - and my husband had purchased a big plastic cauldron and a feathered black owl which he wired to the edge of the cauldron. He left it sitting on the kitchen table. He picked it up a little later, and was showing it to me, and of course velcro dog was right there with me. She went BANANAS over that owl. You'd have thought it was going to peck her mommy's eyes out! Nothing we did would calm her down about that owl. Never have I seen this dog hate something so much!

A littler later, my crazy car chasing fuzz bucket somehow got out the front door. I freaked out, because suddenly she wasn't by my feet, and I couldn't find her in the house ANYWHERE. She wasn't out back. Lacy was sitting there like "what the hell are you freaking out about mom?" So, heart in my throat, I walked out front just knowing she was GONE and chasing cars somewhere. Nope. Sitting there guarding the garage. Just... chillin'. Came right over to me like "What? You're acting all freaked out mom?!"

Sigh. Will she ever stop surprising me?

Agility class starts tonight :D Wish us luck!

MOM, OWLS ARE PREATORS!!!
They eat little lambies and probably silly Mommies too. If you don't have the sense to stay away from such dangerous critters I will need to protect you.

I'm sure that's what Ava was thinking.
Can't wait to hear how agility went.

All that for me too!
:aww: :aww: A true protector! :D
Agility class update?

Baby girls are not in classes, just working with them on some foundation work on my own. Forgot how exciting it is to start a new dog. Or two.

So....how did it go? Did she like it? Did you?

We ended up not going :( My husband had to work super late, and Lacy freaks out if she can't be where Ava is. So we postponed. Boo. I didn't think I could handle both dogs by myself, and they're so big now, that I can't place my kids in a position to control them if needed. Not with Lacy's aversion to other people. I really needed two adults.
Hi Ava, Summer here. Owls are very dangerous! Their heads go all the way round and they have very starey eyes. They can peck you !! Well done Ava for saving your Mum from almost certain death! We have horrible big blackbirds in our garden and me and Tilly have to bark at them to go away. Then they drop the bread Mum puts out for them and me and Tilly can eat it all up! Love Summer and little Tilly xx :wag:

Bummer! Hope you get to go next week!
