I figured he HAD to be convicted of a lesser charge at the very least. ...esp after appearing on tv saying he spent 30+ days with a child and likes to hang out in trees. So does this mean he can continue to sleep with children? good golly. that's freaky. that lady releasing a dove for every not guilty verdict is silly too. I think OJ and Michael will be hanging out at Chuck-E-Cheese in the coming days to laugh about this. I hear the pizza there is delicious. |

I was very sad to hear about the not-guilty verdict. what more can I say- very sad. |
There was a lady holding up a sign that said:
"Michael Jackson, On behalf of Mankind: We're Sorry!" "On behalf of Mankind"?!?!? WHAT? |
Ugh.... This really sucks, doesn't it?
I wonder what's next... |

We could always break open a bottle of wine and celebrate by listening to a collection of Jacko's greatest hits. Of course, my choice of wine would be non-alcoholic. |

I think you mean a bottle of "Jesus Juice" |

For Jackson- Hollywood will make a movie... the book deals ... the talk show interviews... A Hollywood ending ... A very sad day for child advocates... |
I too am not suprised he was aquited, the kid was prompted so many times, the mother was totally loopy. He is strange sure but I don't think he ever had sex with kids...he needs to stop all the kids from coming over and realize he can not have any relationships like that...or this will never end.
People have wanted to take advantage of him since he was 4 years old singing with the Jackson 5...I totally saw this as an opportunity to extort money. The Jury found him not guilty, I am sure some of them wanted to scream out loud he should be charged with stupidity for having "sleepovers" but that was not a charge against him. Hopefully he learned something and we will never hear of another case against him. I'd like to see him take charge of his life and get grip on the seriousness he just went through. IMO |
I agree with Daisie, I think he is insane yes, and made a lot of bad and inappropriate decisions... but that doesn't necessarily mean he molested any child. I don't really think he did. |
I was wondering if anyone thought he was innocent. I have to disagree. My immediate thought, when I heard that he was aquitted, was every juror should be ordered to have their own children handed over to Jacko and stay the night with him at Neverland, would that change their mind. I was dissapointed, to say the least. I think this is the 2nd time he has been accused, so maybe the third time will be a charm. I just feel so sorry for any children who have went through the abuse, or will be abused in the future. I hope I am wrong, and he is just an odd individual.

Whether he's guilty of molesting kids or not, he's definitely not someone who'd you leave your kids with. Of all the charges, he didn't even get it for the Jesus Juice? Crazy.
Donald Trump said in an interview a few months ago that if Jackson was aquitted of all charges, he'd give him a Vegas show. |
Michael would fit in great in Vegas... He is his own freak show.
I could not believe he was aquitted of all charges. He obviously did something wrong. But what are these people thinking letting their kids hang out with a grown man...and if he did commit these otrocities I believe the parents are to blame more than anyone else. Elissa |
Wacko Jacko must have a guardian angel. Why he didn't get convicted on any of the charges is beyond me. If what he does is so innocent why did he pay over $20 MILLION to a young boy several years ago? I don't care how wealthy you are that's a lot of money. And the defense blaming his employees for everything is laughable. I have no doubt he knew of and approved of anything that happened in his domain. To suggest otherwise is naive. The only difference between him and any other pedophile is money. |
One Fox reporter was saying that just because he was acquitted doesn't mean the charges were wrong, just that the case wasn't strong enough. Probably due to the kid's mother being so nutso, and making it apparent that this trial was purely about $$ to her.
So do I believe he's innocent? No. First Robert Blake (allegedly) kills his wife and gets away with it, now this. Just goes to show you what $$ and fame will do for you. A sad day, indeed. Chris |
After having read all the articles on the case during the trial, I was leaning towards them finding him not guilty (which doesn't mean that he is innocent). It just means that the prosecutors could not prove to the jury that without a doubt he did these crimes. Before the trial it seemed like a shoe-in for the prosecutors, but their witnesses were unreliable and not productive for their own side.
As for the alcohol charge, if it had just been him giving minors alcohol I think he might have been guilty, but it was giving alcohol in the attempt to corrupt or molest. All the charges seemed to have these additional charges to them that helped MJ's side because all the factors in them were hard to prove. But like I said above, I wasn't convinced (based on the trial witnesses and evidence) that he did these crimes. I hope that he is just strange and that all of this was done in innocence and really, he needs to stop putting himself into these situations. |
