I think the nutjobs at PETA may actually close to being right on this one... Vance |

We get this a lot in te UK with homeless people I might be going in the wrong direction Vance. The homless person has a animal to look after & so on & being honest most of the dogs are well look after & if it helps to feed the homeless person & animal I am all for this. Sorry I don't agee with petta. |
I think that as long as they check in on the animal periodically to be sure it is cared for and whatnot, and make sure they aren't placing it with a total crazy, it should be fine. It'll help the formerly homeless person and keep the animal out of a shelter, and it helps cut down on the number of panhandlers. As long as they're making sure that the animal is being cared for, I don't see the harm. |
Considering PETA's goal is the complete extinction of all dogs and other companion animals, I really don't give them a lot of credibility. |
( I think most of these wackos should be tortured slowly) I think they are painting with a very broad stroke implying that all homeless have substance and mental health issues. And while I agree the potential is there for problems to arise in this arrangement I think in the end it is just PETA getting their rant on in reference to ANYONE owning pets. But really, a homeless person is probably going to make a better haul with a pet than any stipend they would get for not panhandling. I'm not sure what the answer is but I wouldn't be looking at anything PETA says as legit....but that's just me. Shellie |
