Gluten free diet

| Joahaeyo also does GF. I have a few friends who are hard-core about it - no cross contamination of anything used in their kitchens even. It's made a huge difference for them, too. |
| My mother was put on a lactose free and gluten free diet to try to solve her intestinal problems. She did not want to undergo the definitive diagnosis of Celiac disease which is a biopsy of the colon. I don't know how much more difficult that procedure is compared to say, a colonoscopy, but she didn't want to do it. However there is also a "simple" blood test for it. While not quite as definitive, it is better than nothing. Turns out my mother probably didn't have Celiac disease. She died of Ovarian cancer which they also did not test her for (also just the CA-125 blood test) until they looked at the fluid accumulating in her stomach near the end. If you're having intestinal problems, please insist on being diagnosed by definitive tests. |
