I gave up making stuffed peppers years ago because they got too dry. I just buy them now. Nobody makes a stuffed pepper as good as Stouffer's! |
I love stuffed peppers! But I cook the ground beef first and use the 85/20 - not chuck. Then I mix it with the rice and stuff into the peppers and popur a little tomatoe sauce on top, and shredded cheese. Then bake in a 350 degree oven - convection if you hae so it browns a little on top. Then cover with foil, turn off convection and cook until warm through. Not watery and simply delicious...gee, now I'm hungry for stuffed peppers! |

Go figure, I love broiled peppers especially on skewers with onion, tomato and meat; lamb or beef. Even if the meat is missing I love broiled peppers, but bake them and I rebel. |
