I was flipping through the 45s and saw one titled: "LA Women Love Uncle Bud" by "Boozoo Chavis". Well, we have a friend nicknamed "Uncle Bud" and thought that it would be something to give him. Never heard of the song, and certainly never heard of Boozoo Chavis. When we got home and put it on the turntable we were very surprised that it was what we later learned to be "Zydeco" music and the "LA" was for Louisiana and not for Los Angeles and... well the song was more than a little Risque'. The following video is really just the music with a picture of the 45 that I found on YT. If you're easily (or not so easily) offended by course language, you shouldn't listen, otherwise I hope you get a kick out of it. Warning: THE MUSIC IS LOUD AND THE LANGUAGE IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK!!! |

Yep a bit raunchy. Does that guy have teeth in his mouth? My one and only time in LA I wasn't sure if anyone still had teeth..........they were hard to understand. |
I was wondering about the teeth thing too. |
Interesting. I just googled up images of Boozoo and couldn't find a toothy pic anywhere. You may be on to something. |
