| Our Sheepies will wait until the bowl is empty and the kick it or drag it around until we stop them and refill it. It's a practice the actually started with Malahkai, one of our cats! She would actually scoop out all the water with her paws and THEN drag the empty bowl around. Vance |
| Leonard will do the same thing with one paw, splashing, jumping and sometimes barking at his water bowl. Because we have three animals and want to encourage them to drink lots of water (also because we baby gate off sections of the house to keep Leonard from exploring with his teeth) I have a water bowl in almost every room. If the bowl is even close to being empty he will put both paws in and dig in the bowl like he does in the garden. It is kinda like he's digging for water. We are currently refinishing our hardwoods with a tougher top coat because this habit after only a month destroyed the water based finish he had put on pre-puppy. It is so cute though! |
