Does anyone have any pics of shaven faced sheepies? I'm worried this is going to be a disaster |

Can't help you as have never used clippers. I did buy some but the noise scared our first oes so I used scissors and trimmed to the same length all over-aimed for 1/4". My problem will be how to trim a tail? this is my first tail.x |
I think, and that's usually a sign of trouble, that if it's your own dog, it's all about personal preference. Do it the way you like. To really learn what you think you like, look through the Pictures section as there are several good threads there with recent puppy cut photos. Vance |
I start at the back if the neck, and work back. Then do the head. Your probaly better scissoring the head, maybe clipping the top. You can cut through whiskers. As for cutting safely just go slowley till you get used to it For armpits use a shorter blade like a 10 I like to keep hair on the mouth, if its too bushy then luft the top layer up and thin out underneith |
Hi. Don't use the clippers on the face, use flat end sciccors. I've been shaving my 2 sheepies twice a year for 10 years and have had no problems. Go slow around the face until the dog gets used to it but keep the clippers away form the face- it's too easy to cut the lip. |
