I picked up Mother Nature biscuits (buffalo stew recipe) and Zuke's Lil' Links soft treats (rabbit/apple recipe). Anybody know anything about these brands? I want to get away from the big national brands because we just don't know where their ingredients are coming from and what toxins they contain. The bags say they are made in the U.S. and the ingredient lists are very short and don't seem to contain anything unnatural. I'm hoping some of you have some experience or know something about these brands before I open the bags up. I don't want to give him anything that could hurt him. |

We've used Zukes; the girls liked them just fine! |
I buy the Zukes all the time and use them as training treats. (OK, that's the only time my dogs get treats...they work for them!) |
Mark, we've been getting the dog biscuits from Navarino Orchards at the Caz farmers market on Saturdays. Benson really likes them for a treat (they're too big and hard for a training treat), and they make them with only a few ingredients. I'm sure they have them at their store as well. It's the only biscuit we get anymore. Give Bricky a pat for me! |

I vote for anything not made in Asia, especially China with their addition of plastics as protein supplements. |

We use the Zukes for training. No problems so far. I also like Plato's Salmon strips. You can get duck or chicken too. They are strips but you can break them easily to make smaller for training. I might caution though, the salmon are rather stinky to keep in your pocket! Love the list of treats and the sites! Thanks! |
