I listen to the pin brush. If its making any clicking noise, it's because I'm going over a mat and the pins are laying over and then snapping back into their normal position, thus making the clickIng noise. The slicker does the same thing only not as loud. Funny this comes up now as I was gonna post about it as I was thinking about while brushing out Caitlyn last night. Vance |
Listen to your brush. Vance has got it pretty much right If the brush makes a `clicking` noise then youve hit a matt. I dont say listen to your brush, i say listen to your comb A comb goes further into the coat than a pin brush, so if the comb makes that clicking noise you have discovered a matt you never thought was there If your brush/comb makes a nice slick sound there are no matts and the fur is all fluffy... |
Yep - it makes a different noise when flicking over a mat. |
Oh definately TWANG while brushing Crikeys a big underlying matt. |
"keep your papers dry"....the gunpowder charges for musket shot were kept individually wrapped in paper...so i'm guessing it means the same as "keep your powder dry" |
