This is a very good question. I have gotten several different answers to it. The breeder told me about 12 months, some sheepie owners have told me 16 to 18 months. and the vet told me with a large breed it is best to keep him on it for 24 months. So at about 18 months I started giving Max 1/2 puppy food and 1/2 adult food and I plan to go completely to adult food when he hists 24 months in December. However, I am still not sure when the best time is to switch from puppy food to adult food.
..and out vet said 8 months! Apparently many puppy formulas are way too high in certain nutrients, resulting in the pup putting on weight too fast for the bones to cope with properly?!?

(Woof is just under 12 months old, has been on adult food since 8 months and weighs 65 pounds)
