I love singers! Harry is our singer, due in part to his coonhound ancestor. He has a lovely howl. When we had a mess of dogs here, it was like a little ensemble : Harry would howl, Jack would try to sing...try, Simone would moan and Glacier would bark a beat. Now it is just Harry......MO doesn't hear well enough. |
Great! |
A few nights ago I got the mournful woooooing howl. Haven't heard that in years and never from my own dogs. I think it was the baby girls (just warning you, Dawn) Not sure as I was outside. Was wondering if the full moon had anything to do with it KB |

And seeing we have 2 REAL hounds here, I really wouldn't be surprised. OK, and Dino the min pin is a crier and is sounding pitiful right now too.... |
Oh I love the singing!!! Lily will sing along to people at karaoke! Our wolf hybrid didn't start til we got lily. I don't think he knew he could!!! Its sooo beautiful. The only time I've ever heard our hound do it is when there was another hound around singing. |
Maggie (our bluetick coonhound) always is singing...she actually can't bark a regular bark. She loves to talk, and I love chatting with her! I find normal barks annoying, but the hound talk is so fun. Also - this weekend we were grooming by the malamutes...it was awesome!! (Maybe Becky learned there??) |
You need to enter Angus in a talent competition |
I loved the way Pooh Bear used to sing. He had such a range...did some wha..wha..wha in a deep voice with it. Always made us laugh. Angus has a way to go to match Pooh and his talent. But we are always encouraging him! |
Violet sings every once and a while. I love hearing it. |
