Mostly just a good quality scissors.....and a cooperative puppy! |
And paitience!!. I usually get sore knees, back and thmb from the scissors. Usualy I find the first cut is basicly doing the bits you can get to whilst pup lays still. I do it stages-legs then move on to tum and chest, head and then join it all up! I have a tail for the first time now.x |
I second the patience! It all depends on what you want to do with his coat plus how bad his coat is. Are you thinking of clipping him? Clipped can range from 2mm to 2" with the help of a matt free coat and attachment combs. You will need a pair of clippers with removable blades. That fit oster, andis type blades. Or you can go for a scissoring option. Needing a good pair is scissors also possibly thinning scissors and curved scissorswith a large come and again buckets of patients. Eitherway, the hair grows back quick so there is plenty of time for practise! Biggest piece of adbice is your comb is your friend and listen to your brush x |
