I see your problem but can't help as I am a bare beginner with crochet.......iis it the "ch 1, 2 dc in next ch 2 sp?" chain one, two double crochet in next ......??? chain , 2 spaces then *(repeat back to previous*) Waiting for expert to answer......... |
That's exactly where I'm lost. I'm just starting too. I looked at it for a good long time and I think what it wants me to do is chain one, skip one, and put two double crochets in the chains from row 2. (row two is sc, ch, ch, repeated across the whole thing.) I'm just not sure if that's what I should do and I don't want to start doing that and then be wrong and have to take it all out. |
You're on the right track. Your previous row has left you with a series of little loops. So now you're starting a pattern. Once you do your first double crochet (which basically anchors the start of the row), you'll chain 1, then put 2 double crochets side by side in the little chain-2 space (loop). Put your hook through the loop you made on the previous row, not into the stitch itself. Then just repeat that until the end of the row. By putting your dcs in the spaces instead of the stitches, it makes a lacy pattern instead of a solid fabric. Hope this helps! |
That helps a lot! Thank you so much |
A space is inside the loop, gotcha! |
