If Harry was half his age, then I'd give it a go. We were hoping it might be an anyuresm with a side branch which could be nicked off. Doc said they never form there, not a prime weakness area. In a way, an anyuresm would be a blessing as the end would be very quick. So for now he's a strong dog. |

Susan really sorry to hear about harry, been a really terrible time for you and the fur babies recently. Make everyday count for harry and just love the time you have with him making it special Hoping its benign and the golden oldie has a few more years to go At his age too I would go the same path as well, why put the old boy through all that when really nothing can be done if it is a nasty. Hugs Susan |
When it rains... Hang in there, hon. You never know. Kristine |
I think you are making a good decision. Hope Harry stays stron and painfree for as long as possilbe. He's 11 years old. That is too young for us to ever think of saying good bye but its a nice age for our breed. My first OES lived to be almost 15. Sending harry good thoughts and prayers that he will have lots more years of good health and fun |
Well that is crappy news. Having this diagnosis right on top of Jack is really tough. |
Darn but I'm sorry to read this news. We'll all be hoping it's benign and slow to change so you'll have lots of time yet together. |
I'm sorry to hear this news about Harry. I hope you have a lot more time together. |
Oh I'm so sorry to hear your news. All the best. Thinking of you and prayers your way. |
So sorry to hear about Harry. We had what sounds the same with Fred, our OES before Sprocket. To old for operation, he was on fair amount of heart pills as wel. Vet was very good, didn't charge me for visits and I had tablets at cost rather that retail price. Fred, much to everyones amazment lived for 2 more years and only noticably slowed down about 6months before his passing and still went for a walk the day before-bless him.xx |
Very sorry to hear about Harry. When Pooh Bear was diagnosed with his liver tumor, we opted for no treatment at his age, too. We got a year with him after that. Enjoy every moment you have with Harry............ |
Jeezzzzz... I'm sorry for you and Harry!!! Paws are crossed that it's benign and prayers sent for there to be good news. |
Susan, I'm so sorry about Harry. Fingers crossed and prayers said that it's benign and that you have millions of more minutes with each other. |
Praying it's benign! Poor Harry, poor you |
Hope it's benign, so not fair when things like this happen. |
hugs and kisses to you and harry...positive thoughts and prayers..xoxoxoxox |
I am so sorry for you and your sweet boy. Hugs to you, and a big ( gentle) hug for Harry. |
So sorry, Susan. This kind of news is never easy to take but your decision makes perfect sense at his age. Hoping you have some good, quality time with Harry before he leaves you. You've had a real run of sadness lately and it just doesn't seem fair. Sending you big |
Wow, Susan. I'm so sorry about Harry. They do amaze sometimes at how long they go after a diagnosis like this - I'm praying this is the case for Harry. Hugs and prayers being sent. |
