Big night in the neighborhood
They thought at first it was a guy they were looking for from Green Bay that had stabbed two young women and they thought might be heading for Crivitz, turns out it was a big drug bust a mile or two from where we live, had the helicopter circling and I guess quite a few police and DNR swarming over the land. Also had a bust in Athelstane which isn't all that far from here either, guess it was a joint effort. Never have dealt with anything like this but do know there is quite a bit of that up here, easy to do, isolated and unless someone stumbles on it no one would know. Guess someone that was fishing in the creek by the property was stopped by the two men and reported them so they've been watching for a while. Was rather nerve-wracking going to bed last night. Someone could be lurking and we'd never see them. Sure that would be the one time Butchy wouldn't make a sound. Tripper never did the one time a bear knocked down our suet feeder. |

| I guess! Our excitement was when they asked Todd if he could spy on the neighbor's place - suspected meth lab. But it was too far, and trees block our line of sight. |
| Welcome to my neighborhood. Less than 1/2 mile away police had a big bust; father and son running a gang and running drugs all around this part of the state. Money buried in back yard, etc. Other direction less than 1/2 mile regular drug busts. When they decide to do a warrant crackdown, people with outstanding warrants, it gets interesting here, if the helipcopter circles for more thn 15 minutes and is moving around are area, you know a warrant sweep is underway. Down the street Obama came to give a talk, talk about police presence! I was away but everyone was stuck at home, could not leave until he left. |
