Because he's so small the trip was pretty simple. Tucked him in his "bag" when we stopped for gas and to eat. We stopped at a couple restaurants that let me keep him with me (he was asleep in his bag) as long as I didn't take him out. The worst places were the rest stops!!!! They have don't allow pets any where but the "pet area" and that is usually some treeless dirty part of the rest stop. Shame on them. The reception is at The Fairmont in Washington, DC and they are "pet friendly". It's quite a fancy hotel that allows pets in the lobby (for $430 a night they should feed them on solid gold dishes) I had fun playing "Paris Hilton" with my fancy dog in my arms when we went to check out the reception arrangements! HEHEHEH, if they only new what a poor slob I really am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best thing that came out of the trip is that Ty slept with us the two nights we were away and now that we are home he's still sharing our bed and sleeping great!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had three uninterrupted nights sleep in a row and don't quite know what to do with all the rest!!!! |

I hope the wedding is indoors! I can't imagine getting married on a day like today outside! (I am just south of DC) It is HOT and HUMID!! True, I'm not from here and there isn't excess heat or humidity where I am from, but man is it hot! I'm hoping my wedding next month in San Diego will be pretty cool... |
I agree with you, I was in SHOCK at how hot it was. Both the wedding and reception are inside but the rehersal dinner is outside. I absolutely could not believe how hot it was over the weekend. I could not wait to get back to upstate NY where, even when the weather is hot there is a bit of a breeze. I've already "rethunk" my dress for the rehersal dinner and am glad I chose a short sleeve dress for the wedding (had been considering an evening suit). How do you people stand it???????? |
We're like the magnolias....we bloom best in the humid summer heat!
Nahhh...we're just used to it, that's all. |
Sounds like you have a bed-mate for life!! How does Tasker handle it seeing his little brother on the bed with mommy? If he's okay with it, and you have enough room on the bed with no fear of turning over on him - hooray! You've found a solution!!

Sleep, blessed sleep!!! Tasker doesn't mind at all, he is in his usual place at the side of the bed. If he could talk he'd most likely say HE likes not being woken up in the middle of the night too!!! Ty is sleeping great, curled up on my pillow . Must be I don't toss and turn too much because he's still there in the morning. PURE HEAVEN!!!! |
