| We noticed that in Barcelona too. Lots of dogs, no leases and no aggression. A big city thing perhaps? |

| I noticed how well trained dogs are in Germany, too. We went to an outdoor farmers market and a woman handed her wallet to her dog and he carried it around for her in his mouth. Dogs are welome everywhere there....in stores, restaurants....all parks. In the parks there are poop bags next to garbage cans. |
| I love the attitude toward dog companionship in Europe--dogs welcome most everywhere and the train tickets are often sold for a family and a dog- or 1 adult and a dog. Never minded them being inside the restaurants either.  |
