We had a horrible storm in Central Ohio Friday. Thousands without power, lines down, 200 year old trees pulled up by the roots. We were fortunate to only be without electric an hour or so. They are saying some are going to be waiting a week for restoration. AND to top it off, another storm just went through, following the same path. Winds were "only gusting to 75 MPH" with this one. Up to 90 MPH Friday. The fence that John and my Dad worked so hard to built around the pool got hit on Friday. They fixed it yesterday, and it's down again tonight... Fences we can fix. Hope everyone stays safe in this mess of a summer! |
Loads of rain, thunders and lightnings. A couple of less-than-a-minute power outages. Apparently we got it easy... |
We got hammered... Here is my post on my weekend fun - http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=38218 Vance |
Real honest to goodness clouds blew off mountains, with lightning. No rain, but indication moisture is arriving......as if I didn't know. May be cooler but humidity is up and with evaporative cooling, its efficiency drops quickly. Now if the lightning didn't cause fires........ Thoughts are to all in mid Atlantic w/o power and 100 degree temps. And all the wet soil in Florida upward. |
We have video of the storm in Maryland. Unfortunately we were driving down 95 in it, had to pull over obviously. I'll try and upload this week. Everyone we know is safe, some still running on generations but ok. Hope everyone on here is doing alright. |
No storms, just unrelenting heat here We need the rain, but I guess we are lucky we got nothing with this round. |
What's rain? We live in a dry sauna. |
