The Old English Sheepdog Rescue of Colorado is in big trouble with the fire in Colorado Springs. We have evacuated the clinic and are not sure if it is still standing but it doesn't look good. We have also lost some of our foster homes. We need to place these sheepies and we need financial help ASAP for food, bedding, medicine, etc. If you can only give $1.00 that is fine. We will take any amount! Also, if you have room, we need temporary foster homes for sheepies without a home. Please reach out to us at http://oesrescueofcolorado.org/donate.html |

I brought this before my fellow Board Members of the Old English Sheepdog & Owners Club of Canada and we are sending a donation. Our thoughts and prayers are with every family in Colorado. |
Update: Bette is still scrambling. She has two difficult dogs that do not have fosters. Meanwhile she has found boarding, but the cost is killing her budget. I don't know all exact needs, so would encourage contacting Bette for details. This has exceeded the usual stress levels associated with rescue disasters. I don't know how Bette manages to keep all the loose ends from raveling. Amber, thanks to you and the club board members. I know it will mean a lot to Bette. |
Thanks for posting this. I pray for everyone involved. |
This fire may be the final straw, Bette is considering closing the rescue at year end. |
That's a darn shame. Was she able to find fosters for the two difficult dogs? |
No Jaci, she is still boarding the two difficult boys. |
