Sheepdog supplies anyone interested?

Hello everyone,

I have decided after all not to get a dog. I feel that it is only fair to the dog if I have a nice yard and house for her. They are too special to be couped up in an apartment. Also, the breeder that I had a deposit in on didnt have any girl pups, so I took it as a sign from God that it just isnt my time. SO>>>>> I have LOTS of supplies that I am willing to sell. I have a brand new never used chris christianson brush, and all chris bath supplies such as the white on whote, detangler, after bath, conditioner, etc. I also have big dog clippers etc, anything. I have spent over 1000$ on all this stuff. Please let me know if you're interested. I will sell it half price and I'll pay for shipping. Call me if interested or PM me. 414-915-1703

Thanks!

Lauren

I wouldn't sell it, I would store it until your ready to get the dog. Every dog needs a good brushing and a bath, kennel etc...and it won't go bad...can you just put it together and keep it in storage. Who knows one day you just might see/meet your ideal puppy and want to bring it home that day...
I say keep it also. Selling it would be like giving up hope.
Ditto, why lose half the money, when you will eventually have to buy it all again when you finally do get a pup?
In terms of an oes in an apartment, honestly, I don't think the dog would care, as long as you have a couch, and a lap, and love it to bits.
As far as the breeder not having any girls, are you set on a girl? You could always see the boys, you might fall in love with one... or wait for another litter....
I am not one to talk someone into getting a dog or puppy if they believe that they are not quite ready. However, I want to Ditto what Willowsprite said about apartment dwelling with a sheepie. I have 2 sheepies and their activity level is whatever mine is for the day, even as young puppies. If we wanted to hang out at the dog park all day, they would run and have a blast, but if we hang out at home in bed all day, they are just as willing to relax with us. If you have the time to train and and socialize a puppy or the time to be with an adult, then I would go forward with getting a sheepie.
As for the supplies, I also say, if a dog is in your future, keep all of the supplies for him/her. They will need to be clean too.

Good luck,
Stormi and co.
Somewhere here I posted about my experience........ I got Tasker when I lived in the country with acres of land and just a few short months later, through an unfortunate series of events, found myself living in a tiny mobile home in a mobile home park. He lived there (me too) for 7 years before we again moved to the country. It wasn't ideal but we managed and he is a happy active well adjusted dog. Get a puppy when it feels right but don't let where you live make the decision. I vote for keeping the stuff too (you never know when you might need it).
Ditto Stormi... They are as active as you are. Ours love to be couch potatoes on the weekends, but if we open the door to the park... Then we got two gray rockets all over the place... hahahaha.

As long as you can provide daily walks and a weekly free romp on a large extension, I think your dog will be fine.
