Sorry to hear your family is going through this in my opinion this could be a number of things:
a) bad breeding...or bad picking out of the litter...some breeders just want to get rid of the pups and say whatever they have too..where some will try and place the right pup to the right family. b) alpha dog trying to find her pack place...you need to settle that disput right away...get her to work for her food, a for time outs, or many other suggestions found in the forum on behaviour can help. c) not enough time spent with the litter to learn bite restriction...you need to say a high pitch Owwwwww, and stop all play, then reward if she behaves more gently The good thing is she is so young, and before she starts teething you can work on this. Don't play rough games, or play with the mouth area...focus on quiet reward opportunities set her up so she can't fail. Enroll in a puppy class as soon as she has her 2nd shot. I'm sure you did you're research on the parents, and they were cleared of health...and you were able to meet them...what was your opinion of the breeder?the mom and dad?...what does your gut say? Is your vet right? |
Is this is the same poster as a similar thread from a few days ago? If not (or if you haven't seen it), check this out: http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=3784 |
