We've been working with him on his resource guarding (very much improved) and his extreme dislike of grooming (all better now). He's just the sweetest little fellow. He did have some problems with his ears, which have been cleared up with antibiotics. That seemed to be the source of most of his bad temper. And now...for the rest of the story...we just were so enamoured with him and wanting to help him through his behavior issues, that we decided to adopt him ourselves. We've renamed him Elijah and he's now an official Weaver Wigglebum. He loves playing with his siblings - and collecting toys: Giving kisses: Going on adventures: Our whole crew: and making us laugh. We live in a zoo. And love every minute of it!! |

Looks like Boots/Elijah is enjoying his new home! Who would believe that sweet looking puppy would end up being rehomed. So glad he is all safe now! Thanks for the update ! |
I'm so happy Boots has found a forever home as Elijah with your gang. It's wonderful that he is doing well and having fun as a Wigglebum Weaver. |
Congrats! That little boys is soooo lucky. |
How wonderful! Good for him! Good for your family! I love the happy photos! |
Tammy, Have you given Boot's/Elijah's family an update on him? Do they know you adopted him? |
YAY it's great when fostering fails Elijah is one lucky cute sheepie lil man. He looks in the photos to be a perfect sibling for the two other wiggle bums. |
Thanks, everyone. We're super excited to have Eli join our clan. @ Jaci - only a true sheepie person, like yourself, could understand the comment of "only" having two sheepies. Most people are shocked that three such large, hairy creatures inhabit our home. @ Mark - yes, we've been in touch with his family to let them know of his progress and our decision to adopt him ourselves. They are pleased, of course, that he's doing so much better. |
I was just so surprised and happy to hear the news! After I said that I realized I worded it goofy. I'm often guilty of that... it probably comes from living and communicating on a different level with all these hairy creatures. I'm so happy things have worked out for everyone. |
