Some of you may feel I have lost my mind (well I feel I am always on the edge) I am now fostering an am staff for my local shelter . One of the vets I work with vol at the shelter. I was talking to her and she wanted me to eval a dog there....That dog was great,I had spoken with the foster/rescue coord about a 10 year old sheltie that just sat and cried at the end of the kennel. Well one thing led to another the sheltie was going to a sheltie rescue . Then she showed me a very timid and scared pitty mix (I guess) I said just give him to me I will work with him. If I am going to help fight the ban here I guess I need to get up close and personel with the breed. He is an unaltered male (That is going to change) and sooo sweet He is scared of everything but the gang at crazy acres is doing their best to help him along. I was going to look for a am staff/pitt forum but thought hey I will go where my buddies are.

You dogs will definitely guide your new foster! My dogs have helped Jack become a confident, happy boy. He has a ways to go still but from day 1 and today is a major turn around!
Thanks for helping him out. Amstaffs/pits really are sweet. You'll fall in love before you know it. |
