Belle is ready for bikini season!
Except for her paws . . . that's proving to be a touchy spot right now. Please, don't tell her she looks sort of like a poodle. J Ha - she won't let me get a picture of her paws . . . |

Not the best to show off her cut, but this is all she'd let me get last night. She tuckers out quicker these days, but is eating her full dinner. She's decided that breakfast is NOT the most important meal of the day. I'll get a better picture over the weekend. Jil Good grief, it looks like she hasn't moved since I got her - it's almost the same spot she was lying in in my avatar picture.  |

Feet are a pain as it's a constant struggle. Maybe a smaller headed clipper would work......like they use on sideburns? Yeah, like you want to purchase another clipper. |
| They do make very small (narrow) blades for standard clippers.
But I'd guess it's just that the pupper doesn't like her paws touched/held? Maybe you ran out of time/patience/back muscle? |

Andis makes what they call a toe blade. I've never used one so don't know that size the blade is. Crytech also makes two blades: a 14 mm and a 19 mm. Once again, no idea. The blades cost around $20-25, far less than a small clipper sheepieboss |

Panda hates her feet touched too...I have learned, not to clip her legs at all the same day that I groom her...the next day I go back with a pair of scissors and do her paws and legs that way....she seems to tolerate the scissors on her feet a little better...also, with the scissors I can go back and fix the boo-boos on her body (places that I missed while she's trying to sqwirm away from me)  |
| Darcy, that's exactly what I did last night - got out the scissors. Now she doesn't look like a poodle.
I did this just in time, too. It's 83 and muggy out there. I've already hosed her down once and she didn't seem to mind. Goofy dog would rather be outside than inside where it's sort of cooler. It still amazes me how much looser her collar is now! J |

Weird,huh? Panda will lay out on the grass, in the sun (its 100degrees) and pant. I feel bad about having her sleep outside, but she likes it better than being inside with the a/c on We actually have to make her come inside to cool off...

Otis lies on the kitchen table, under the ceiling fan, belly up. I think he's the smartest one of all. Wait, I just noticed that he's lying on a pair of pruners. |
| Jil, How old is Belle? It is pretty funny that your avatar and new picture are so similar!! She is a cutie...I was just wondering, because I wanted to know if grooming got easier as they get older.. |
| Belle's 8-ish as close as anyone can tell, but I'm not the one to ask. She's my first sheepie and I've only had her 8 months.
