Interesting post - do you know the reasoning behind the onions and macadamias? Never heard of those before. I know you're not supposed to feed birds (hook bills -large parrots) avocado, but it's the pit that's poisonous mainly, wonder if the same for dogs? |
I don't know the reasons behind those, no. That's interesting about the birds, I wonder if it's for the same reasons? |
http://www.aspcabehavior.org/articles/7 ... Dogs-.aspx Home beer brewers... hops are also on the list. |
Well, that explains everything! |
Add black walnut shells to that list. Make sure your dog doesn't get into black walnut shells of any kind. They are toxic to dogs & horses. |
Also berries and the killer is seeded grapes. A friend of mine nearly lost her lab last week after the lab stole a load of grapes. Cheers Debs |
Deb, What kind of berries? |
Blackberries and raspberries can give them runny bottoms, not poison as such but berries with seeds seem to upset doggy tummies. I once had a dog who ate the berries from Deadly Nightshade plants. That was a very anxious and expensive trip to the vets! Cheers Debs |
Garlic? They sell garlic treats and pastes for dogs? Bloo loves it. Garlic is supposed to be good for them. ;/ Also you shouldnt give animals nuts, well chipmonks and hamsters yes, but not dogs n cats Interesting post. Oh and some flowers eg lillies are poisonous. |
I've heard Onions and Grapes are worse than Chocolate. I know Grapes are supposed to be the absolute worst but then again, i dont know much of anything when it comes to this stuff. We just dont feed him human food hahah |
