I don't know if the weekend was just too much for her. If she ate something that didn't agree with her. She did lay in what looked like poison ivy to me at Wolfgangs. Can a dog get poison ivy? Oh well.. She's got her front leg bandaged up, and hopefully will quit messing with her back leg. Or out comes the cone of shame. LIsa Frankie and Mattie |

Oh, poor little girl, hope it heals quickly. |
Oh no I didn't see poison ivy there, lots of regular ivy though. I hope she is able to avoid the dreaded cone. |
yes they can get poision ivy, but I didnt see it either. Also check her real good for ticks. There may have been soom in that area. Hope she feels better soon. |
Poor Mattie--hope she gets better quickly and you don't need to use the cone! |
They had ivy, but I thought I saw something different in another area. I was probably mistaken. The dog walker says now she's got 3 hot spots started. time to call the vet. Lisa Frankie and Mattie |
Poor Mattie! Let us know how she does and I would also be interested in knowing how they treat this. I didn't realize that could sprout up so quickly! |
Poor thing. Its good that you caught them early or it can get really bad. |
So sorry to hear matties reaction, could be not only so called poison ivy, calfornia ivy and plain old english ivy as well, causing her reaction. If you google noxious plants for dogs, a multitude of names comes up as dogs verified as reactive to certain plants, ivy covers quite different types including the above causing everything from gut problems to skin disorders/reactions. Hope your sweetie is doing better |
Oh no, poor Mattie. Hopefully your vet can get her healed quickly before the cone descends upon her |
