Puppy License
The last 2 days Dex has started setting limits and giving some very deep warning growls. He had to resort to head butts a few times to get the point across but now Winston seems to know when Dex growls he needs to back off. Dex has also pushed him away when he tries to get in the middle of a cuddle session with Mom or Dad. He lets Winston get his time but not when it is his turn. We thought Winston may end up as the dominant dog but now aren't so sure. We're glad to see it; Dex teaching him some manners. |

| Eevee walks all over Bailey and it's been that way since she came home. I wish Bailey wasn't such a pushover, she gives up her food to Eevee if I don't lock Eevee in the other room until she's done eating. |
| Layla and Ramsey are going through the same thing. Layla is 2 years, 8 months, Ramsey is 4 months. Layla is a pushover, she gives up everything to him if he wants it, the only time is when they are playing chase, she doesn't. Once in awhile now, she will tell him, ok enough, this is mine, your bone is over there, back up. In fact when I heard her growl at him, I was shocked. I actually laughed because looking at a Labradoodle, who is the sweetest thing ever, growling, was hysterical. But he backed off. Barked at her from afar, but wouldn't go near her. Now he tries slicker moves, like bringing his bone to her and trying to steal hers anymore. I am curious to see who ends up the boss when they are older as well. So long as it's a friendly boss! |
