I was thinking a Michigan basket (things made here in Michigan) I have a giant stuffed sheepie. Great for any attending children. And an awesome sheepie puppet, that has a sweet poem with it, it's new with tags. I saw it at a bookstore last year and had too have it. Thanks Lisa Frankie and Mattie |

I had a great big stuffed sheepie when I was like ten, I got it for free from my dad's doctor's office because I liked it so much (this is totally where my love for sheepies began, by the way!). Then it got sold when my parents were auctioning the house for five dollars. ): I eventually found it on the internet for like two hundred dollars or something ridiculous like that. I ended up settling for a big brown stuffed dog from toys r us since it was the same size and only forty bucks. I used it as a pillow for years, and now it has become part of Bailey and Eevee's bed (aka my bedroom floor, lol). If I was coming to Sheepiepalooza, I would totally be trying to get the stuffed sheepie... I'm still a child I guess. Whatcha gonna put in your Michigan basket? I'm actually pretty new to the state, I just moved here last June. |
Our preference is for Sheepdog related items. Honestly, if you have not bought anything yet please don't worry about it. We our going to have way more items than we can possibly put in the oral auction. We have made a contingency plan to handle the overflow items. Last year it went on a little too long so many items will be placed in a concurrent silent auction. We will be posting towards the end of next week about the auction and how it will be handled. However, I will address it here that the best way to help the selected OES Rescue who is the recipient is to spend lots of money on the items no matter how ridiculous it may seem. Sometimes people have spent more money on the item they donated than what the final bid was. It would make more sense for that money to go directly towards helping the sheepdogs. In my opinion that was the case in particular with the "local" baskets. And there was a much bigger market at this event for Sheepdog related items. For example, consider the money a donation to rescue and have fun with it. That is how I spent $25 on a $2 Rubber Ducky-Sheepdog. Thanks for asking. |
I seem to remember SOMEONE(^^^) calling me a dumbsh$^ because I drove up the price of the T-shirt I wanted. |
There was a rubber ducky sheepdog?!? I'm so jealous! I just put my art from last year's Nationals agility banner onto a coffee mug, and I did a second mug with my recent OES Line-up art. I was going to submit these for the auction. But if you already have too many items, please let me know and I'll just keep and drink out of them. But if you think you want them, I bet they'd be good for the silent auction. |

Because I have called my boys and Harry all dumba**es. No, the reason you got that term of endearment was because you showed your eagerness before the bidding began. I kept my cool with that Rubber Ducky-Sheepdog and paid a mere $25 when I am sure that had Val realized how badly I wanted it would have driven up the price to $75. And sadly I would have paid that too. |
I am a huge coffee, art AND sheepie fan, Allison... I think your mugs would be a hit! |
the mugs arrived today; they showed up REALLY quickly! They printed a little bit dark, so the type treatment isn't exactly how I wanted it. But over-all, I'm pleased with the outcome! the two mugs, front view: both mugs, back view: I have to give Adam credit for the saying; he came up with it years ago, and we've not had a chance to use it on anything before now! |
love it!!! |
Those are great! |
