I believe Acana is made from the same people who make the food I feed, Orijen. I think the Acana is the canned food? Made in Canada? If it is, its a wonderful company. Canada has higher standards when it comes to dog food. The plant is in Vancourver I think. Look them up on line. I forget now. Champion food is the manufacturer I think...I've been feeding my dog the Orijen since the last pet food recalls - my dog was a victim of one of those recalled foods and I researched and researched - and now, after three years of feed it, we have been just fine. I say feed it! |
We fed Pacifica for one bag, the aroma, to include on him after he ate, was so strong we had to change. We tried Wild Prairie for a while then went to another whe he quit eating it. One or the other of Acana caused a yellow to brown stain in Dexter's white. I know it was the food by how white started growing out when we went to a different food. It wasn't noticeable at the time. I am not saying other dogs will react that way to the food, each are different. |
BTW, all the Acana I am familiar with is dry kibble. |
