Need ideas to get me motivated and keep us training

Ok. I need some help here. :plead:

Since I started working full time it's been harder to fit in agility training with Tiggy and then we had to stop all together after she sprained her leg and had stitches after her lump was removed.

Now I,m not going to be able to take her anywhere for three weeks minimum and not sure how long before I can run. Plus I was already getting frustrated with our lack of progress in the flat work department. :x

Over the past 6 weeks we have fallen behind in weaves and Tiggy was never good at keeping with me on flat work. I'm too slow and boring for her.

So I've been feeling like not bothering any more for the past few weeks. I need some ideas for quick training sessions that can be done in a very small court yard with only a set of 4 weave poles. Preferably stuff that improves Tiggy's ability to work with me on the flat instead of blowing me off in preference for running FAST. Some exercises to teach decleration would be great. Bearing in mind I'll not be running for a few weeks, not much to ask for hey?

Mim - I don't know what to tell you that won't get you smacked arse over, you know.

I would think that your being so stationary would lend itself towards teaching Tiggy to work away from you (sending her to jumps, for instance - forget flat work at this point, it clearly bores her) but I'm afraid she'll come back like a boomerang and - crash! I know Dazzle would... :o

I'll keep thinking...

Thanks Kristine.
Don't be too fussed about the crash. The surgeon has said I can't do any damage to the hip and I'm used to Tiggy using me as an alternative braking system. Maybe I need to get her a parachute system like those fast cars have.
I'm thinking of sending Wayne off to the hardware store for polypipe to make a jump or two. Then I can just stand in the middle and direct.
Any ideas at all for small space and minimum movement work will be gratefully accepted.
Will she send to a target?

With Mad, who loves to retrieve, I used toys (as targets can be hard to use if you're working alone...Mine quickly learn to simply steal the treat  ) I went overboard on the distance work and, unlike her velcro daughters, she never got used to working close  Moderation...it's such a good thing...   But you really don't need a big space to do interesting work.

Yes she loves to run for her squeaky cow and squeaky monster.

Mind you I have to block the kennel that never gets used or she takes them inside and won't bring them out. Trust a smart sheepie girl to think up her own game rules. I suspect it's the "if I have to run to get my favorite toy then you have to fish it out of the back of a kennel to play tug with it" game.
