Its finally happened and I need to vent

I have finally offically overloaded my self, I have 5 foster dogs, a GSD that is HW positive (nellie the girl that had puppies dec1st) a german shepherd that is deaf and HW positive , luna(she has had 3 altercations with my dogs and is now in the barn/kennel barking her head off) I have an adorable mixed puppy 4 mos that I named maudie after my late mom, I have an 11 yo shep/bern mnt dog that owners lost their home and they surrendered him to a kill shelter and his name is grizzley, I have a black lab/boarder collie mix named lancer that we are trying to get his ear infections cleared up Well on our way. I have my three... 2 sheepdogs and a GSD. Atticus (Blk GSD )is 16 mos and is having some aggression issues with my fosters Yes he is in training and yes we are doing nlif......I keep my dogs in trainingtill they get it right!!!!Guinness was seen mon at an ortho specialist and although his l hip is bad we were told we can manage it medically...thur morning he could not get out of bed and was totally lame on the l leg, some improvement now...........We are a small rescue and foster homes are at a premium. I think I need to get my dogs taken care of but cannot just throw the fosters out the door. Sometimes life just sucks Oh and I fell flat on my butt easter have a bruised coccyx and it still hurts!!! I was breaking up a fight between atticus and luna and got a good chomp on the hand, had to be seen but waited till the next day and of course the police were notified Give me a break. :evil:

All will work outin time life always does. I will tell guinness's story in medical to get some opinions................

I hope your hand and coccyx are improving too.

No not amazing not a hero. Just unable to say no.....I cannot save them all but these dogs I have so deserved to be saved Them and many more out there. I do Old English Sheepdo rescue but don't get many. I have placed about 7 this year they go pretty fast But black dogs...old dogs.....mixes and hounds. They are the last chosen. In stead of the tea I had a glass of wine:) Thanks to all who do rescue. If you have never tried it please foster. There are dogs out there dying... they may not be OES but they deserve a chance too. Yes it is overwhelming and I am having to many AACCKKKKK moments but I knew I could count on my OES.ORG friends you all are just the best!! The VERY BEST!!!!!!!

Cindy, sometimes you cannot save them all. You are amazing! I wish I had your stamina...take a deep breath and realize you can only do what you can do and you do way and beyond the average...

Cindy, you are doing amazing work, but you can't do it all. Take time for yourself even if it's only 15 minutes a day. And we are here to vent upon. :ghug:

Yes I do feel better Just needed to have my friends at OES.org help me along.....I have to learn to say no and not overwhelm myself. I did this one time before and thought I learned my lesson. Yeah right. I work with a wonderful rescue group and they are supportive. I guess guinness going lame for 3 days when I had no clue as to what I was going to do and how I was going to pay for it just threw me under the bus..... I have given up on the house being clean for this week anyway. I will move a couple of fosters and work on my BAD dogs here My own dogs Can you imagine???? So I have taken deep breaths ,pushed the dirty laundry aside propped my feet up and had a cup of tea. It will all work out , it was alright at one time it will be alright again

I am so sorry you are going through this. I hope your physical issues are improving and the dog related things have worked themselves out. Some days are diamonds and some days are stones, hoping things have gotten better.

Cindy, you are one of those really special people whom we (who are lucky enough) meet along our own life journey. We are so sorry to hear you are having a "not so good" week. Like many of the others have said "Hang in there" , you will get through this little rough spot and life will return to the normal HECTIC pace you have had before. I will make sure to place your name on our Prayer list at church this weekend.

Thanks everyone...I do no more than anyone else that fosters or does rescue. Just needed to vent and of course there is always so much support here at OES.org. One dog is moved, two will be adopted sun, and guinness is back to his grouchy 'ol self and I am working on atticus's attitude!! My coccyx pain is much improved and my dog bite healing...and life goes on(and on and on) Now maybe next week I will do the house work and get on my stained glass projects I am so behind on those. It is just nice to know there are cyber friends out there
