OES FUN DAY & COMPANION SHOW - 6th May 2012 - Northampton
I just wanted to let you know that the OES Rehoming and Welfare Society will be hosting a fun day and companion show from 1pm onwards on Sunday 6th May 2012 at Roade Village Hall, Roade, Northampton. Entries are taken on the day and judging to start at 2pm. There is to be a OES Open Show, held by the Midland Club in the morning at the same venue. There are all sorts of fun classes - resist the sauage for one (mine will fail at that for sure!  ) More information will hopefully be posted here: http://www.midlandoesclub.co.uk/events.html and here: http://oesrehomingandwelfare.co.uk/news/ It would be lovely to see you all and of course have a giggle or two with the various classes. The Rescue do an awful lot for our lovely breed and I do try where possible to support them and help them. | After hundreds of emails to the secretary lady. I am entering bloo into JUNIOR DOG in the morning, and we are coming along to the fun show after too! I attached a photo of bloos puppy cut, she said he looks fine, and im allowed to use the slip lead too as bloo hasnt been on show lead before. IM SO EXCITED!!! Cant wait! We will be there with mom and bloo!  Its our FIRST comppetition show!  See you on the 6th!!!! sam xx |

Thats wonderful news - looking forward to seeing you and Bloo - get ready for the powder puffing with his coat. As for a lead you can use almost anything - my advice now would be to get him to stand (use this as a command) and get all your friends to touch him - head, ears, legs, chest, back, bum and tail, If they feel comfortable get them to open his mouth - gently! The reason why is because the judge will be touching every inch of Bloo as is usual practice. I am sure if you were to search on you tube there would be dogs being judged say from Crufts there somewhere - have a look as it will give you an idea. The other thing you will need to do is to get him to run up and down and then in a triangle - Bloo should always be on your left when running.Entry form is all completed and funds sent? LOL - it is amazing whats on our doorstops - I dont know about your council, but ours are hopeless about telling/advertising etc that a particular event is on. We normally find out the day of the event, which is often too late as prior plans and committments mean we cant change these. The afternoon is the companion and fun day - you could always enter Summer into the classes. The morning is a bit more serious as that an OES Open show - but am sure you can come along to that as well although space is questionable! Its such a small hall. |

| Hi its Sam, just havent logged in.Ive filled in form and posted it. Im doing junior handler, an junior dog. We will be at the fun show after too! Bloo would so win resist the sausage, he doesnt eat em! haha... |
