He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body but likes to nibble on daddys arm every now and then! (He's too scared to do that to mummy!) Fortunately for him daddy lets him get away with anything. He loves belly rubs and mummy is his favourite for that. Anyway it's great to read all about the other sheepies and how similar they can be! Bye for now... |

Try giving him toys when he goes after socks. Abbi loves her babies--stuffed animals. Some she really tears into and others she will groom and baby. She will even go over on her back to play with her stuffed animals.
Oes seem to love to play! I never had any other dog quite like my Abbi, who is guarding her newest stuffed animal at this moment. Any with squeakers have to be watched, as she will go after the squeaker and tear it out of its stuffing. And you can make a toy out of a plastic gallon milk jug with food in it. Just don't leave them alone with it, because they will chew on it until their gum bleeds. She usually gets to chase it around until she gets the food, then it goes to recycling. What a cute white faced pup! |
Welcome Nigel/Faye and Dougal!!!
He's sure a handsome boy and must make his family proud! I know you'll enjoy this site lots of helpful and friendly people here, so again welcome! Marianne and OES's Shaggy and Baby Merlin Blue too (while he's not an OES I think he secretly wants to be) |
Well hello!
Gorgeous sheepie - the pic you used for your avatar looks like dougal's at a stable door? - we've got a similar pic of our Woof (which is one of my favourites). Anyway, Welcome! Mikey and the Woof http://groups.msn.com/mjpix/shoebox.msnw |
Hello again,
Actually he's pictured in his favourite spot laying on the patio, but I can see what you mean, it does look like he's at a stable door. Great picture of Woof! He looks so cute and very similar to Dougal, only Dougal has one white ear. Funnily enough we have a picture of Dougal like that and they look the same! Both Faye and myself grew up with Boxers. My mother bred and showed them, and Faye's mother always had one as a pet. They are lovely dogs but I've always really liked Sheepies. Had to have one and it's turned out to be the best thing we ever did. We couldn't live without our Sheepie now!! Well, you probably know exactly where we're coming from. Anyway, thanks MikeyG and Marianne for making us welcome and thanks to agingright for the advice... |
By the way, here's some pictures of Dougal if you're interested!

Too precious! - I thought that the B&W photos were particularly good! Dougal looks easily as Mischievous as Woof - "who me" actually had me laughing.... |
Just had a look at your pictures of Woof. How sweet! It's amazing how similar Dougal and Woof are. We love looking at other sheepies. Our favourite picture is Woof laying upside down in his bed!! Dougal does that as well, it's so funny!
At what age did Woof turn grey? |
I too love looking at pictures of Sheepdogs...always enjoyed looking at everyone's postings.
Of course I love all your pics but my favorite is the one of Dougal (black and white) where he looks in absolute heaven ...eyes half closed...smiling! Wonderful photos! |
The Woofer started going grey from about 5 months. It was really odd - kind of like his growth. we call him our "soap opera" dog!
..You know when (if you watch them) a child character in a soap dissappears for a few weeks? (neighbors was good for this)...they turn up in an episode a month later, yet they've grown three feet and look 10 years older...... |
