summer cuts?

I recently got my oes, he is now ten weeks old and Im trying to figure out when i should take home for hiatus first grooming. Now that its is getting warm he already seems uncomfortable when we take him out to the dog park.
Any suggestions?

Ten weeks old is a little young to be going to the dog park. You should wait til his last set of shots. Around six months. People bring unvetted dogs there all the time. Its much better to socialize with familiar dogs that are garentedd to be vetted or a puppy play group.
You can shave them down at any age.
Being honest OESD puppies should not go on long walks until they are 12 months old due to their hip issues
Do you live in a really warm climate? At 10 weeks old he really should be ok without shaving him unless you are in a really hot and humid location. Even at that--at such a young age he doesn't really need to be shaved down. If that is something you would prefer to do--it won't hurt him.

He is a good age for you to start the grooming process. You should be able to bathe and dry him now and begin to get him used to the process with the bath and the brushing. I bathe my young puppy about every two weeks--and brush him a little every day just to get him used to it now--so that as he get older he will enjoy it. I try to make it a really pleasant experience with lots of praise and fun.
I agree with all. Way too early and dangerous in the doggie park. I know one park here closed for awhile due to Parvo. People were bringing young pups to an infected park. One pup died. I've known a couple of dogs whose feet didn't touch earth until they were several months old for fear of contacting Parvo. They were carried to the pee and pooh spot which was kept clean and free of other dogs. Then carried back indoors.

Second, I agree, excessive exercise this early isn't good. yes, they need exercise, but at their tolerance. Right now it's a lot of tumbling, short burst of speed, tug of war, etc.

Finally, our little black tuxedo dogs should not be in the summer sun for very long at all..they heat up quickly. They don't cool off quickly enough.

You should be grooming him with a soft brush so he learns to love being touched by you and the whole grooming experience. Baths as necessary. Way too early to think about professional groomers.
