Now of course Cloud is a velcro dog and I guess we are velcro owners He comes to work with us and we don't leave him on is own very much at all. When we do go out we take him upstairs and put him in his pen. Of course he grumbles, but we are only ever out for a couple of hours and when we come back we get the typical whirlwind sheepie welcome. Up and till last Saturday he has always been a good(ish) boy. Last Saturday morning we both had to go out at 10 and we got back at 12. Geoff went up to release Cloud. Up the stairs he went turned the corner and stopped dead in his tracks. Was Cloud in his bedroom? NO. Was Cloud in his playpen? YES. Where was the Playpen? He had pushed it through the bedroom door. Not just that he had pushed the playpen 20 feet along the upstairs hall. He was in the pen as was his bed, his toys and the hall carpet! We just looked on in disbelief. So on Monday night we had to go out again. This time we left him in his pen upstairs and shut the door. When we come home, normal welcome except he has dismantled the playpen! Only taken 9 months but we are now looking at plan C for where he stays when we go out. Options are the kitchen (gulp) without the pen or we never go out again! They are just too bright for their own good. Bless him and will keep you updated. Debs xxx |

Hey Cloud, You need to teach me some of your tricks! Love Bloo x We will work together, sheepies will rule the world! |
Now we need to get a fridge lock! He has worked out he can open the fridge door He is a little tinker! |
Oh my, I'm soooo glad neither of my dogs have worked that out. Just the siamese cat worked out how to open the walk in pantry door, an extra magnet fixed that little problem and made for a very grumpy cat. |

Resident critters start practicing their escape abilities in the whelping box: Coast is clear... Busted....puppy pen with lid! First time at an agility seminar (hanging out with a friend's springer puppy for socialization): Bet I can get out of here: She did, too. After the fourth time she climbed out I finally got smart and put her in a crate (right): That's OK. we're better off without her... Some dogs are just destined to make escapism a sport "Lids" work... Kristine |
who can resist those faces. |
Thank you Kirsten those pictures are brilliant. He is definitely an escape artist. We keep whistling the theme to The Great Escape. We are out tonight and have puppy proofed the kitchen. Will report back in the morning. If that fails then will be getting a crate with lid. Note to self stop laughing! Cheers Debs |
Just an update just got back after a party with friends. Project kitchen has worked!!!!!! No damage no escaping just a very happy boy greeting us when we got back. Phew.............next time we might even have a glass of wine |
Bloos never 'escaped' from anywhere so i guess im lucky there. Bloo cant even open the door! Ill leave the door ajar come downstairs to find him crying there because he cant get through! All he has to do is nudge it and itll open. lol You got a proper escape artist on the run debs! |

Debs and Mom You are both meanies!! How can you take away their mobile phones - they clearly like to be in cohoots and get each other points and tips!! As always huge hugs to Cloud, Geoff and you. xxxx |
You can't blame a boy for trying to have some fun while you guys were out. It could have been worse, he could have gotten into your wine! |
