Awww. I know its difficult. I just went through the same with lily a few months back. She will be ok. *hugs* |
Big hugs to you. Oreo will do better than you this day. We had Charm spayed in February, and it was a l O N G day. |
Many of us, if not ALL of us have been in your shoes~~~ I have often wondered why the vet doesn't give the 'parents' a valium to take the 'edge' off ( I know the pup gets a relaxer...).... Please keep us posted!!!! Oreo will need a lot of TLC when she gets home tonight.. It just tore me up looking at my baby and knowing she was in pain... Although I don't have a picture of the night she was spayed, here is a picture of Heart after her cyst surgery..... MY POOR PUPPY~~ |
Best wishes to Oreo....and you too!! |
I'm sure she'll be fine - but I understand your pain. Not looking forward to Ava's surgery when she's old enough. Poor baby, I hope your pup feels better soon! |
Just talked to the Vet, she is doing fine....can't pick her up until 4:45....went out and bought her a new baby and treats for when she is feeling better... |
GREAT NEWS |
Give her some Charm kisses and hugs |
Home and resting, she looks so sad, just gotta keep her quiet and down off the furniture, she already has tried to climb up on my chair, thanks for all the well wishes, we appreciate them all... |
Give her a gentle hug from me. In the next few days, you will be working hard at keeping her from being her usual bouncy self! |
Glad all went well for Oreo today! Special hugs for her tonight- |
I just love this site, thank you again for all the well wishes and hugs, she is much better this morning, now we just need to work on her being able to keep something down...and yes keeping her from bouncing all over the place, her crate is helping alot, so she is sleeping and resting. |
Yay!! Glad to hear she is feeling better!! Layla was spayed before 6 months and you can't even see her scar! She was very picky on food the next couple of days but remember, it's MAJOR surgery! You would be too! She was also bouncing and wanting to play, so I limited her pain killers, when she was on them, she couldn't feel anything and I definitely didn't need her ripping her stitches out, the lil pain there reminded her to take it easy! |
I hope Oreo is doing well today!! |
Ok, it is day three and she is back to her old self. Now trying to keep her from running and jumping, this should be interesting. Thanks again. |

I remember putting some plain yoghurt in a kong and freezing it so that Mady would tire herself out trying to lick it all out. Made for a messy face, but it gave her something to lick besides her stitches. Of course, we still had to keep an eye on her, so that she didn't sneak in a chew at those stitches. Sneaky devil! |
Glad she is doing well! Yup, that's the hardest part. Trying to keep her calm after a few days...I remember I called my vet after a few days and said how well she was doing and how happy she was, jumping and playing, etc. he said, no, sorry, she shouldn't be doing so much and gave us a slight "relaxer" to make her a bit quiet while she healed! |
