Three weeks ago, instead of settling down to gnaw on her bone, Benson started wandering around the house with the bone in her mouth looking for someplace to hide it. We let her hang onto it for most of the night, but she NEVER settled down to chew on it. Same deal last week. And again this week. Apparently, wandering and whining (and burying her bone under any nearby throw) is more fun than chewing it. Who knew? |

Maybe she wants to hide it so you won't take it away and put it back in the freezer!! |

Exactly what bloo does! I give him a big bone so he settle so i can brush him..I give it him turn my back to gather the combs etc...when i turn back round the bones gone and bloo stands there with a black face!!! He buries them!!! I have to go outside unbury it and give it him again (in the house) he takes it back to the same spot and reburys it.. I also give up |
That was what our basset, Tripper, used to do. He'd run from room to room looking for a place to hide it, we found it in some very strange places after he whined and carried on for hours. Finally took it away from him just to get some peace and quiet. |
