Limited RECALL- Diamond Naturals Lamb Meal & Rice

| Regarding the initial notice of Diamond recalling some batches of their Naturals Lamb and Rice food for salmonella contamination , it appears they have suspended deliveries of all foods from their Gaston, SC plans and may be recalling ALL foods made in that facility. This could include some products from the following brands: Canidae/Felidae Chicken Soup (a Diamond product) Kirkland (Costco brand) Natural Balance Solid Gold Taste of the Wild (a Diamond product) Please note - these others have NOT been recalled but it appears from conversations that have been had with Diamond representatives that the contamination of products in the Gaston plant may extend beyond those listed in the initial recall, and hence the reason for Diamond suspending all deliveries out of that plant. If you feed these foods, I recommend calling the pet food company and asking whether your food was made in the Diamond Gaston, SC plant and explain your concern regarding possible salmonella contamination. This is not to scare anyone. Rather it is to pass along information I received that indicates a possible problem that might be worth checking out. This information was provided by an independent pet store owner who contacted Diamond and talked to a Julie in Customer Service. |
