| I can remember a golden breeder here who would not allow her pups to go to their new homes if there were steps. We thought her a bit over protective........hmmm, she was onto something. Another breeder, Newfies, would walk the dogs up a big hill behind her house every day. They were fine dogs.......and the pups had a good start. How I'd like to see the study go further along to pups born in puppy mills and kept in cages or access to limited movement. I'm sure Jack was such a dog and other dogs from the same puppy mill in the southern part of the state that came thru rescue. |
