We'll be thinking of you Monica. Vance and Jen |
hugs to you all will go well |
Monica, I know you're scared and I would be too, but you're going to be just fine, better than ever! You're gonna feel better almost immediately, and when you heal up you're gonna be full of pep and vigor! In the meantime, it's ok to be scared, and to make yourself feel better make sure that everyone knows what you want if something should happen. That way you will have a good peace of mind about everything else and you can concentrate on getting yourself all healed up. We're with you and praying for you. |
Oh, and by the way -- I'll be thinking of you every time I look at my gorgeous enamel-on-copper sheepdogs! One is on my bookcase that is on my left, and the other is right in front of Joan, between her two computer monitors! |
Oh my... Definitely will pray for you. Ron had a very nice reply. Hope to hear something good next week. |
We'll all be thinking of you! You'll do great, and I bet you'll feel really well afterward! |
Wishing you the best! |
This is probably the best news. Finding out about four blocked arteries when at the cardiologist office probably saved your life! I know its scary and if you have any chest pains at all, shortness of breath, confusion, or numbness in the arms or legs between now and Wed get yourself to the hospital ASAP and do it by dialing 911. Don't attempt to drive yourself.... My Mom had a quartruple by pass at age 75 and not in the best health. The surgery was a big deal, I won't lie to you. You will be in the intensive care until a few days after surgery so don't be afraid to hear that. But my Mom did well and recovered. You will also need to take time off for recovery and then so some cardio rehab once you are stronger. But, today these doctors do by pass surgery every day - and its less risky when you schedule it like you are rather than doing it emergency... You will be in my thoughts and prayers...stay positive...keep calm and follow doctors orders! |
Monica, I am so sorry you are going through this and you've been given great advise. Try to keep positive thoughts and don' let the scary ones in too often..that is what I've always done when I have scary surgery coming up, just decded I was going to get it done and heal quickly. Prayers to you and positive thoughts. |
Keeping positive thoughts for a very successful outcome. We enjoy seeing all the pictures you post and look forward to you getting back on your feet. Do you think your partner could give us an update once the surgery is done and you are getting better. |
Hi Monica, I know it's scary and frightening for you (HUGS), but like the others said it probably saved your life. I am sending lots of postive thoughts and well wishes your way. You take care of yourself okay? I'll be thinking of you Wed. Marianne |
Good luck Monica, I hope the news on Wed is as good as possible. As has already been mentioned it's better to know now rather than after damage has been done. None the less I'd be scared too. Thinking of you, prayers and sheepie kisses for you. Tiggy and Mim |
Wishing you the best and a speedy recovery! Cindy |
Positive thoughts and lots of prayers!! |
prayers Monica........... you will do great. You will have a sore chest but you will do well. |
Darn lucky it was caught before something really bad happened. Scary - yes, but we are all here for you!!! |
Thank you everyone, I will teach my partner how to post here so she can give you an update on me when all this happen. I think I was lucky, because the doctor told me that it was for sure that I can have a heart attack or a stroke with in the next year, and that scared me more. Do you believe that I am more worry about my dogs that myself? more than anything about Tilly, because been deaf , is hard for her ,and been away for a few days is going to be difficult for her to understand, she spend almost 24/7 with me, I work at home so I am never away for more than a few hrs when I go to the store or something like that. I know most of the people think I am crazy for worry about my dogs but I know you will understand |
Monica I kind of know how you feel. I was told a few years ago (at the age of 42) that I have heart failure. I was scared to death. I went to the hospital many times with chest pains, nausea, pain down my left arm, the whole works. I'm not going to say it isn't scary but the things that these Cardiologist can do these days are amazing. I was off work for three years and all I was allowed to do was walk my dog. Thank God for Ziggi she was my support, confident, shoulder to cry on, my strength. It's okay to be scared but turn to the people and animals in your life for help and support. Don't ignore any pains - chest, back, neck, jaw, left arm call 911 immediately. I now have a pacemaker to help my heart work better and I am back to work full time. I'll be thinking about you on Wed and praying. PM me if you want to talk about my experiences some more. |
Oh my gosh Monica. That is understandably scary. But like everyone here has said, you are so lucky that your doctor found this before something happened. We will all be praying for you and don't worry about anything else. Just take care of yourself. Tilly will be fine and they are all in good hands with Kathy. In the meantime, let all of us here in St. Louis know what we can do. If Kathy does not want to post then if she calls one of us and we can give the update. I can't access from work but I can pass it on to someone who can. |
Monica...What Judi said^^^^^^^^^^~All of the St. Louis Sheepiepeople are here for you and Kathy and your 'pack'....I would be very scared too, but ,,,at least they caught it in time to fix it before anything happened. Lots of prayers coming your way from all of us on Lilly~~~~~~ many hugs..... And white healing light~~~~ |
Tillie will be fine. Your partner, I assume she lives in the house with you?, will be there with Tillie. Take the next few days while you are home to go over everything with her so she knows what do to. Things will be fine. I think sometimes we don't give our dogs enough credit being without us a few days... Darn, afte r this by pass you will be in amazing shape...maybe run a marathon or something???? Keep us posted...and maybe give your number to a few local members so we can call and see how you are and see if any help is needed with the dogs... |
Best wishes to you for a sucessful surgery and speedy recovery. Anyone would be scared, is normal. Do the cardio rehab after, best advice. Some think they don't need it but it makes a world of difference with your recovery. GOOD LUCK! |
The surgery will be uncomfortable afterwards, but you'll feel so much better!! You'll be amazed because you don't realize how "down" you are now. Keep a positive attitude. You have someone looking after the animals.....they will be fine........and we will pray you will be too!! |
Wow, what a shocker!!! You are SO lucky that this was discovered before something irreversible happened. Fingers and paws crossed here for you. Keep us posted when you are able to!!! |
OMG, Monica, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank god they found it in the cardiologist's office! Keep us posted through Kathy or whomever is available. Hoping for a very successful and speedy recovery for you. Cardiologists are amazing what they can do these days and you will feel so much better! |
I am so happy that they discovered this now, when they can fix you all up, shiny and new! Please, please follow doctor's orders and if he/she tells you to take it easy, then take it easy!! I know that it will be tough for you, as you are a person who keeps busy, but let other folks look after things while you recuperate. I will be thinking of you! |
Hi Monica, I understand why you would be scared. I work in the Cardiovascular ICU, where people come after heart surgery. If you have any questions about the surgery or what happens when, or what to expect, you can PM me and I will be happy to answer. If I don't have answers, I know who to ask. |
Monica- So very glad your Dr. caught this now. You will be in my thoughts and prayers and lots of big hugs coming your way too! |
Monica, my thoughts and prayers are with you. It's scary, but the success rate from this procedure is very high. Until then, follow the doctor's orders and don't worry! Just think, a week from now it will be all over and you will feel so much better, mentally and physically. |
Monica We will be thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way. So glad they found it now, rather than when something serious happened. Lisa Frankie and Mattie |
Thinking of you and sending love! I had to laugh that you wanted to have it quickly so you can make it to Sheepiepalooza |
