I'm Roz, also known as my alter ego in Roller Derby as Sam Heinous. I answer to either, lol. We are expecting our puppy in early April, that's her in my avatar. My coworker has an OES, and brought her to the office one day. I fell in love. I lost my Boston Terrier a couple of years ago, and just hadn't found it in my heart to get a new dog, until I met my first OES. My husband and I have four kids, ages 7, 8, 9, and 13. We also have three cats, and two ferrets. I am a little concerned about how hot it can get down here in the summer, but my coworker assures me she has no problems with her dog, and she keeps her hair long. So we shall see. That's about it, I've already learned so much from this board! Roz |

Hi Roz, and welcome from West Virginia! Congratulations on your upcoming puppy, she's beautiful! Have you chosen a name? When in April do you pick her up? You are right about the wealth of information here. I learn from this board constantly, and there are always prompt and educated replies to any question. It's wonderful that you are prepping for her arrival, as OES are a breed apart, especially the puppy stage. Looking forward to hearing more about your baby, and seeing lots of pictures. Welcome!!!! |
Hi Roz! Welcome from Illinois! Can't wait to see pictures when you get your puppy! Cindy & Teddy |
Welcome from Ottawa, Ontario. Looking forward to the pictures! |
Hi Roz- welcome from Tennessee! Your puppy is adorable and I look forward to lots of pictures of your beautiful girl! April will be here before you know it! This is a great place to learn everything you need to know about OES! |
Hello and welcome from Texas!! I keep Ryleigh in a puppy cut because of heat. It's also easier to groom. Best of luck and looking forward to pictures. |
Hi Roz. Welcome and congratulations on your new puppy! I just have one question......one blue eye or two? |
She has one blue, one brown. And hey, maybe you'll meet her someday - I'm originally from STL, and all my family is still there, so I'm sure we'll be in town at some point in the future! Roz |

Go MN RollerGirls! http://www.mnrollergirls.com/ They have a Jr league, and my 9 year old granddaughter just joined and is practicing. I think I even have some bout pictures uploaded here....ah, yes! SamHeinous wrote: I'm in Las Cruces! I've lived all over, but NM is definitely home. Ha, what a coincidence. I have 3 half-brothers, lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews in LC too. Will probably make a trip that way this summer, maybe we can meet you and your pup at a park or something. |
Welcome from WI, there is a lot of good information here and I think we all learn something new quite often. I know I have. |
